Return to Vaidyagrama, India

Greetings from my little kurti bungalow in the banana plantation in Tamil Nadu, India.

Wasn’t it super to connect last week in our meditation zoom sessions!

It’s great being c.5.5 hrs ahead here from the UK as it means I can infuse Indian sunshine and bird song in to the session for you!

I just wanted to share about where I am as some of you have been asking...

I’m in Tamil Nadu, South India at Vaidyagrama the Ayurvedic healing village I have spent a decade visiting each year absorbing Ayurvedic healing and learning (apart from 2021 for obvious reasons!).

It’s pretty basic where I am currently. I am doing the mandatory 7 day quarantine in a little bungalow cottage in the banana plantation outside the healing community. I have wifi, running water and food delivered three times a day so I’m not exactly off grid;).

I’m loving doing my early morning sadhana practice each day. Pranayama and meditation from 5am with the sounds of the creatures all around me.

I know this ain’t exactly everyone’s cup of chai;)- but it is very soul nourishing for me. I feel like I’m healing and resetting my senses, mind and soul. This is what this place does for me.

I realised reasonably early on in life that I do well with periods of back to basics and simplicity, especially in nature. I know you love nature too. It’s such medicine isn’t it?

Being here in the motherland of yoga and ayurveda teachings is also deeply profound right now. I feel like I am reconnecting to the source.

Don't get me wrong, the Venusian in me also loves the sensual experience of indulging in luxury and refinement, not to mention A.C!! "Rough with the smooth" I call it though. And it's a healthy and healing balance for me. I again remember that I can easily survive with basics and re-find a different sort of contentment.

I’ll keep you posted on how I get on. I’m here until 13 Feb this time, offering my one to one zoom consultations; yoga and meditation session; holistic health coaching; energy reading and healing sessions.

Look forward to hearing from you,

With love,

Em x
